During my time at Clemson, I was an active member of the African Student Association, serving as both Secretary and Vice President. This experience allowed me to connect with others who share my background while also educating people about the rich beauty of Africa and its diverse cultures. As a Nigerian woman, carrying my culture with me is a source of pride, and I strive to share it wherever I go!
Over the past three years, I've had the privilege of serving as a Resident Assistant/Residential Community Mentor in Douthit West. This role gave me the chance to build meaningful connections with continuing students and guide them throughout their campus journey. I helped plan events like Wicked West, West Fest, and Dessert Island, which fostered a sense of community. Being an RCM has truly been the highlight of my college experience!
To prepare for Physician Assistant School, I spent the summer working as a Physical Therapy Technician, where I enhanced my skills in the healthcare field while utilizing my Spanish to support Spanish-speaking patients through their exercises. I look forward to returning to this position after graduation to continue gaining valuable patient care experience.
For the past 2 years, I've volunteered at Clemson's Brooks Center Costume Shop, assisting the shop manager in creating costumes that bring characters to life. I focus on ensuring that each actor’s personality is reflected in their costume. Here's a picture of my sister and me at their production of Into The Woods—one of my favorite perks is the free tickets!
